cylinder valve

A cylinder valve is a device for opening and closing and adjusting or controlling the flow of gas or liquid inside the cylinder. A cylinder valve acts as an inlet port to fill a cylinder and as an outlet port to allow gas to be supplied. Cylinder valves are usually made of steel or steel, which are placed on the cylinder. The cylinder valve is used to open and close as well as remove the gas inside the capsule. The materials of these types of valves are made of steel and steel depending on the type of gas inside the cylinder, and each gas has its own cylinder valve, which is used in CO2 gas for greater reliability.

Types of cylinder valves and uses:

Right-hand cylinder valve: This valve is used in neutral gases.

Left hand cylinder valve: This valve is used in flammable gases.
Topic cylinder valve: This valve is used in helium gas. The cylinder valve is designed and manufactured for cylinders with different capacities and has two types, normal and valved. The body and stem of this type of valve are made of brass, its nut is made of iron, the material of the spring is made of steel, and the spring holding plate is made of aluminum or plastic.

Ropich cylinder valve: This valve is used in different cylinders, especially argon and nitrogen, and it is designed and made for cylinders with different capacities. These types of valves have two types, normal and valved. The material of the valve body and stem is brass hub, the material of the nut is iron, the material of the valve spring is steel, the material of the spring retaining plate is aluminum or plastic.
Valved cylinder valve: This type of valve is specially designed and manufactured for carbon dioxide cylinders, in industrial and laboratory uses in cylinders with different capacities. Valved cylinder valve has two types, normal and valved.

The type of cylinder valve is divided into two categories based on the type of gas available

1- Brass valves: brass valves are used for non-corrosive gases regardless of whether the gas is flammable or ineffective (of course, brass valves with chrome coating can also be provided according to the type of customer and upon their request.)

2- Stainless steel valves: in corrosive gases such as hydrogen sulfide gas, they should be brass valves.

Regarding cylinder valves, there are three well-known and popular international standards, only a limited number of which are most widely used in Iran. Erkan Gas Company has implemented these standards in order to support its dear consumers and to comply with the safety rules and principles of cylinder valves and to increase the awareness of its customers.
